A NEXO GEO D line array system has been shipped to one of the most dynamic entertainment markets in the Balkans. Based in Bucharest, Digital Audio Xpert (DAX) becomes the first rental company to offer GEO technology in Romania, and, to complete its inventory, has also ordered CD18 subs, NX242 digital controllers fitted with EtherSound extension cards, and a supply of CAMCO Vortex 6 amplifiers.

Digital Audio Xpert was founded in 2000 by Dax Nedelcu, who works as front-of-house engineer for Stefan Banica Jr, one of Romania’s leading entertainers. Over the last 9 years, DAX has expanded its original brief to include rental services of sound, staging, lighting, video and special effects, and also handles direct sales of pro-audio equipment.

Knowing his market well, Dax Nedelcu chose his new line array system carefully. “After 10 years’ experience with all the good PA brands, I knew that NEXO has some of the best products in the world. For me, the GEO D is the perfect sound system…..for many reasons. First of all, I can do outdoor and indoor gigs with no compromise whatsoever; GEO D offers incredible power for outdoor concerts, and versatility and relatively light weight for indoor handling. And a primary reason was the GEO D’s sound... powerful, perfect balance of frequencies, even dispersion, excellent vocal reproduction, and virtually no PA tuning is necessary unless you have very, very poor location acoustics.

“Another reason was GEO D’s full cardio system and great rear rejection. Because I am also an active musician, I know what it’s like when you can’t hear the stage monitors because of main PA back leaks. With GEO D, you can steer the subs to get the best LF coverage and the D10 modules have -16 to -20 db back rejection.”

DAX has lined up its new GEO D system for a wide range of events, including indoor and outdoor concerts, corporate events, private parties and fashion shows
