In usual Chesney concert rig fashion, the tailgate concert party was thrown with one of the largest NEXO STM line array concert systems available, consisting of main hangs (24x M46 + 24x B112 + 2x M28 x2), sub bass (24x S118 flown x2, 24 cabinets ground-stacked across the center), aux hangs (15x M46 + 15x B112 + 3x M28 x2, 270 hangs – 90° offstage for the side and back, at the top 12x M28 x2), delays (12x M28 x2), and NEXO NUARs featuring NXAMPs. Everything was run on fibre via Dante.
“We jumped at the chance to be a part of this historic college football and entertainment event and knew that NEXO would deliver high-impact sound to everyone in attendance at this unique venue,” said Morris President David Haskell.
The following day the speedway was turned into a football field for the University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech football game, with approximately 150,000 attendees who filled the stands for what was called the largest college football game ever played.
