AlphaQ’s new NEXO system, designed and installed by Sun Infonet Pvt.Ltd, draws on components from three NEXO ranges: the classic PS Series, the super-classic Alpha Series and the brand-new LS Series, with all cabinets powered by NEXO’s proprietary NXAMP amplifier controllers.  The system makes the most of NEXO’s new family of set-ups, which, by applying linear phase across the range, encourages the mixing and matching of products from different Series with a quantum improvement in quality.

Sun Infonet has used NEXO PS15-R2 high-SPL compact cabinets at the heart of the system, teaming them with 2x Alpha S2 subs and a pair of NEXO’s new LS18 subbass.  In the bar area, the compact NEXO PS8 full-range cabinets keep the music going at conversational levels.  All the systems are powered by NXAMP4x4 digital amplifiers.

Mr Annie, managing partner of AlphaQ, praises the Sun Infonet team from Delhi for their commitment.  “The best and most important factor was that Sun Infonet presented me not just with a quote for the equipment, but with an entire project, ranging from the fundamentals of system design to the details of installation support.  When we were running behind, with the Christmas Launch Party becoming an urgent deadline, Sun Infonet’s team took responsibility and managed to finish the job with 2 days.  It was an impressive effort.”

The club has a distinctive aesthetic design.  Not only does it have the biggest VIP lounge in the city, it is also the only club in the region to present video DJs.  “Designers of the Sun Group have made an exceptional job of the installation of the boxes, especially making the sub woofers almost invisible,” continues Mr Annie.  “All the zones are time-aligned with the principal source of high SPL, which is in front of the DJ console, so you can move comfortably around the main room without receiving the usual interference and phase difference between the zones.  The whole club sounds like one venue.”

AlphaQ’s owners are expecting the venue to become an instant hit, attracting the party people of Punjab to Chandigarh rather than Delhi or other nearby cities.  The club is intended to be event-only, bringing in popular Indian and international DJs for special guest appearances.
