« This is the first time we’ve used GEO S12 in anger, » says Wiltshire, « and I am very pleasantly surprised. It is smooth, loud, clean and punchy. In the Dance West tent, it’s all about the bass end, and I can say that the RS18s are phenomenal, I haven’t heard anything to match them. »
Using one of the smallest amp racks on the Glastonbury site, the Dance West system required just two NXAMP4x4 powered digital controllers to achieve impressive figures. « During our test window, we achieved in excess of 109dB at front-of-house, although during the festival, we ran the system well within the stipulated tolerances at 98dB, » reports Paul Wiltshire. « The NXAMPs did impress. Configuration is very easy, they are literally plug-and-play, and there was not a glitch even though we ran them 14 hours a day for 4 days straight. »
Wiltshire is confident that his new RS Subs will offer him the versatility he needs as he looks beyond his regular Glastonbury clientele. « The RS18s will do all sorts and I can use them in so many configurations, on anything from dance to rock n’ roll to corporate work. Coupled with the GEO S12, it makes for a stress-free system that is a pleasure to use. »
