This year was the 60th running of the Grand Prix in Monaco, attracting the most beautiful, rich and famous people to the narrow streets of the principality.
NEXO’s new subbass cabinet, the LS18, was used for the first time at the playground of the Europe’s glitterati as the world’s most intoxicating motor race roared past. The light and easy-to-handle single 18” sub was used to anchor groundstacks of 3x GEO S12 cabinets, alongside the large LED screens that relay the race action outside the grandstands.
“This new sub delivers impressive sound pressure, achieved with just one 18”, says Yann of Mediacom. “The weight and size of the sub are very convenient for professional use. Used in partnership with the GEO S12, this was the perfect combination to give high SPL and high quality and coherent acoustic coverage.
LS18 is compatible with all GEO S12 accessories, so it can fly with the S1230 and S1210 line array modules, or anchor the ground stacks. With a steel stand fitting on top of the cabinet, the LS18 also allows for pole mounting of the GEO S12 cabinets, as well as NEXO’s best-selling PS15 full-range speaker. ( LS18 can even be flown in tandem with PS15s.)
