PERU’S MEGA-CHURCH CHOOSES GEO D AND RS18

The Living Water Church, which has over 80,000 members and 6,500 Sunday worshippers, spent $42 million on buying the building, and have invested heavily in its conversion.  One of the most important elements was the choice and installation of a very substantial NEXO line array sound system, supplied by Sonotec Peru.

Like all the Christian Communities, they received several proposals and demos from different suppliers, but a demonstration of NEXO’s GEO S8 system impressed with its speech clarity and confirmed the Church’s decision to go with NEXO.

With the advice of Jesus Aguilar of Sonotec, Celso Papadopolous and Roberto Tschopp from NEXO LatAm, the specification for a GEO D system was drawn up in NEXO’s software programme NS-1, which was able to predict comprehensive coverage and SPL for the 23,000-capacity congregation.

Final system design featured L/R hangs of 12x GEO D10s, with 8x GEO S8 for sidefill and 4 X RS18 each side.  7x NXAMP4x4s with EtherSound cards were used to power and manage the system.

The NEXO LatAm team, which made several trips to Peru to support the Sonotec tender, praised the efforts of Jesus Aguilar who brought the project in despite fierce competition, and kept it on budget.
