PLASA: NEXO AND YAMAHA NETWORK TOGETHER

Aug 2016 | News | GEO M6 | ID Series | LS18 | Power & Processing | United Kingdom

The PLASA stand has a unique, zoned design which showcases a range of scaled audio solutions – suitable for the smallest room or the biggest stadium.  A significant feature is a comprehensive Dante network, allowing staff to demonstrate the ease with which Yamaha and NEXO products can be seamlessly networked to provide complete, easily managed system solutions of any size.

Key NEXO products on show will include the ID Series super-compact speakers, the versatile ID 24 and its partner sub, the S110.  Using a variety of mounting options, the low-profile ID24 fits snugly into almost any environment. With a user-adjustable horn, the ID24 can beam sound into difficult spaces, giving 60 or 120 degree HF coverage as standard.  Because it can be mounted vertically or horizontally, there are four different directivity options; NEXO offers installation as well as touring specifications, and an a la carte option allowing the user to custom-configure the cabinet.

Another winning NEXO loudspeaker design is the GEO M6 compact, a versatile arrayable cabinet design that combines high SPL output with exceptional sonic clarity for speech and music.  NEXO will present the full-range M620 cabinets together with LS18 subs, powered by a NXAMP4x1, a highly cost-effective amplification solution.  The M620 can be used singly, in pairs, in curved arrays of three, in line arrays up to 12 cabinets long, depending on application.

Loudspeakers will be powered by the new DTDAMP 4-channel amps, the ideal companions for NEXO’s new DTD Controller, which supports all best-selling NEXO cabinets including the PS Series, GEO M6 and the ID Series.  In a light 2U rack, the units provide input/output patch bay, processing and 5kW of power for mobile and fixed applications.  On its own, the DTD Controller confers new affordability and accessibility on NEXO loudspeakers by connecting them to third-party amplifiers of every size and scale.

The stand will feature a significant new Yamaha product, alongside the flagship RIVAGE PM10 and CL/QL series digital mixers, the Commercial installation Solutions (CIS) series of processors, mixers, amplifiers and loudspeakers, plus a range of input and output options.
